Well, I guess the way we speak here is a far cry from the "Queen's English", but our "language" is utterly charming and entertaining. Also very much to the point in many instances.

Ah - I, also A, as in A tree , A house

Ah Chut !- Expressing annoyance, being vex , e.g. " Ah chut nah , man "

Ah eh able- (I am not able), I cannot keep up with you

Ah vex- I am angry

Ah vex mad- I am very angry

Ah fine so-  ( I find so ) -I agree

Ah ton load- A large amount of anything

All fall dong- ( down), complete collapse of any arrangement

Ah-ha  ! - Caught you

Ah neva see moe- exclamation of surprise

Aiyo - When you lose your kite, because someone else cut your thread with the zwill in their kite's tail.

All now so - around the same time- Tomorrow all now so ah will be gorne

An yuh swallow dat ?- And you believe that ?

Aks  or Ax- ( Ask) -  - Aks me no moa fool question

All yuh- You- or everybody of you

Aloo    - Potato

At All - Not at all - Ah cyar see him pass de exam at all, at all ( saying things double for emphasis )

Bacchanal - Large noisy happening, scandal, big party, confusion

Back back - To reverse. Doa back back on me

Bakra Johnnie-Fair skinned African with blond hair

Backside - Posterior, your rear end

Back chat - Insolent response- usually from a subordinate to a superior or child to an elder

Back, Belly and Side- To get it from all sides, usually criticism of some kind

Beh beh - Lame person

Bhaigan- Eggplant- melongen

Bambam or Bamsee-Posterior, your rear end- your derriere

Bamsee Lambe- A rather attractive posterior

Bam Bam Head- Somebody who has no common sense

Bamboozle - To con someone

Bard lucky- Unlucky

Bard mine- Bad mind, evil thoughts- Yuh have bad mine

Bard-John - a worthless character- always ready to fight-  bully

Bard drive- Bad drive, reckless drive

Bard eye- cut eye- To look at somebody with slitted eyes

Basodee - drunk, light headed, half silly- De blow knock he basodee= The blow knocked him semi conscious, also ......

Bazodie/Tootoolbay : when yuh geh a woman or man have yuh on cloud 9.

Bekaneg -An albino

Bite up - To be in a quarrelsome mood - " How yuh bite up so today ? "

Blank - To ignore somebody- How yuh blankin' meh so ?

Blues - A Trinidad and Tobago $ 100 dollar note

Bobolee - A person who is being taken advantage of

Bodi    - Long bean

Bois Bande - Bark of a tree of same name, used to make a tea brew which is alleged to have aphrodisiac powers

Bol' face - A pushy person, unreasonably demanding

Boobooloops - Grossly overweight person- obese, fat

Boo Boo Man - A bogey man

Bounce meh nah- Usually said when walking in front of a car in the road ( jaywalking)- daring the driver

Bowgee -Sister in law (East Indian derivative)

Bragadang -A sound...like a breadfruit falling on a galvanised roof

Bram - Sound of something falling or something or someone getting hit- also: a rowdy fete - a wash you foot and jump een party with all kinda ragamuffin behaviour

Break away- Dance wildly to a calypso tune

Brokes- Have no money- Ah am totally brokes today

Brokofoot -A person walking with a limp or physically challenged person.

Broughtupsy -  Upbringing, conduct, character

Brush - To have sexual intercourse....e.g.....Ah give she ah good brush

Brudder - Brother

Buff up- To insult somebody

Buh wait nah - But wait a minute, now hold it right there

Bush Bath - A mixture of the extract of certain bushes which is added to the bath water in order to stop a period of bad luck or to reverse a sickness

Buss-Up-Shut- (originally: ripped up shirt). Used  as a synonym for Paratha Roti, because of the way the roti looks

Buss - Has several meanings :  a)  to go broke- " De business gone buss "
b) to study hard - " He buss he brains studyin' las' night"

c) to fall down - " buss yuh tail"

Buss d' mark- In weh weh ( gambling game), when the "mark"= number/symbol is revealed
